Last night, we blew the breaker in the the house that the computer was on.
This happened while I was on the computer.
Reset the breaker, powered on the computer.
It ran a hardware test and at the end it said (CMOS checksum bad)
It also said date and time was wrong.
Went into bios to change the date and time but the + & - signs seemed to have no affect on the date.
SO...............I cant change the date and my computer wont fire up.
I have no doubt that the little batteries on my MB are bad and need to be changed however I wouldnt think that bad batteries would stop me from changing the date and time.
please help.
