BIOS Question

I'd like to know how to find out if I have 48-bit LBA-compatible BIOS, my BIOS is from 2000 and the documentation is limited. I really don't know where to find this setting in the BIOS either, I find nothing that gives me any kind of LBA information although it could be hidden in the only place I didn't look in the menu
Here's the details;
Gigabyte 7ZX 1.0 MOBO
VIA chipset KT133A version3
BIOS-American Megatrends, version 62710, revision 3 11/14/2000
Thanks for the help

Well from experience I would have said yes since I've had computers that old that have supported 48 bit LBA without updated BIOS. However, looking at the Gigabyte BIOS updates you'll probably have to update your BIOS to support that.
Go here:
http://www.giga-byte.com/Motherboard/Support/BIOS/BIOS_List.htm
there's options for a few different revisions of your (GA-7ZX-1 rev1.x, rev5, rev5.1) so you might want to check that

Near as I can tell I have revision 1.0 and when I try to update my BIOS it tells me the chipset is not supported, I checked in BIOS and flash protection is turned off so I guess I'll live with what I have. With a CAUTION at every turn I think I've tried hard enough. I only want it to see my Hdd as it really is, 160 Gig. I guess I'll live with the partition.
