i have a compaq presario 2209cl laptop the specs are:

celeron m processor 1.4ghz
512 ddr ram
and 64 mb intel extreme graphics chipset

the sticker on the laptop says it has a 64mb integrated video card but it doesnt seem like so. i tried to play my favorite game, lineage2, and the game was really choppy. my desktop computer with only 1ghz, 512 SDR ram and a 64mb geforce4 could handle it but not this laptop of mine. so i went into my bios and saw that the video memory was set to only 32mb. there was no option to change this. so, im wondering if anyone knows how to change this setting? The compaq technition i talked to told me i had to install another 512mb of ram for the video card to fully perform up to 64mb. but, why can't it just take 32mb more from my current supply?

i also get an error when i launch the lineage2 client that says agp is not enabled. how do i enable this?

i would appreciate any help i can get. thanks.

VRAM has very little inpact on graphics performace. The real factor is the chipset. I'm quite sure that Geforce4 would be faster regardless how much RAM either has. With intergrated cards like your laptop has, your probably better off to just set it to it's lowest setting and conserve your system's RAM.

As for the AGP error, how old's the laptop? Does it use PCI Express? I've played a couple games that gave me similar errors. You can't enable AGP because you're either using it, period... That's just the bus the card runs on and there's no way to "enable" it. Now, I suppose there could possibly be a driver problem, but I'm sure you'd get much more than just some choppyness in games.

the laptop is a little over a year old. i beleive it was purchased in may of last year. sorry i cant give more info. my knowlege is limited.

That's cause your Geforce4 is alot better than your laptops intergrated graphics card, no matter how much memory each has.
