Hi, I have a D845GEBV2 motherboard with SV84510A.86A.0006.P02 bio. I have download the latest bios (RG84510A.86A.0033.P17) from intel.com, followed the readme.txt made a boot disk, saved my custom bios, and ran the update. Rebooted checked the bios version to find it did nothing, can anyone give me some advice, updating to make sure my new CPU will work when it gets here, Thanks.

While the computer is booting, it should display the BIOS version in the top left or bottom right of the screen for a few moments.....does it now say P17?
If so, then it has been updated but the changes are probably not graphical but rather internal changes to the way the BIOS works & sees things.
