Without a BIOS (Basic input/output system) allows you to boot the PC. Without it as has been mentioned, you will have nothing.

Mostly all electronic devices that use logic circuits must contain a BIOS system. Your cloths washer contains a microprocessor or a microcontroller (Which is simply a combination of Microprocessor with some other chips like A/D converter and so on), this washers' little computer contains a BIOS.

The control unit of your car contains a BIOS, modern elevators contain a BIOS, traffic lamps on streets contain a BIOS, anything using Logic circuits need a BIOS which contains the rules of the logic of the device
