Bios?

when your computer starts it should say delete to enter setup. i think this is when it is calculating the memory you have...well thats for my PC.
 
also, if u have a gateway, dell, etc., it should be on the first startup screen to press f1 to enter bios, etc. u have to figure out if u have to press f1, or f2, or f10, delete key, etc. what kind of computer is it?
 
Specs

Its a Compaq Presario.... i really should put up my specs. Anyway I found out how to find my BIOS but I don't know how to overclock it.
 
is it a laptop? i have a presario laptop and i have the same problem (cant overclock). oh well. also what kind of processor do u have?
 
u didnt specify which presario u have.

also, in bios, is the numbers u want to overclock greyed-out? if they are, it means they are locked. we are going to have to find out how to unlock it (jumper settings, etc.). find out and post back. :)
 
Specs

Wel... It's a Compaq Presario, AMD Athlon 64 3400+ proceesor (1.81 Ghz), Gig of Ram, 200 gig Memory, gigabyte Radeon 9600 Pro graphics card and Sound Blaster Audigy 2. I think i got to my BIOS but i couldn't find anything that had to do with overclocking so I think that it is locked..., what was that again.. jumpstart?
