hi i have just built a sata based pc and it works fine but when i go to burn a dvd its fine untill it goes to wright it to dvd then the pc shuts down to a blue screen telling me to uninstall any new hardware or disable caching or shadowing in bios neither of wich i can find please help

Have you made sure all the cables are in correctly, in right places, and that the firmware is the latest?

the only thing im not sure about is the sata drive cable in bios it says its the third master i also have a ide hdd on first slave dont know if that is the problem

this is what happens when i try to burn a dvd or norton ghost the sata drive
(asks me to check everything from software to hardware, technical error as follows PAGE-FAULT-IN-NONPAGED-AREA asks to disable catching or shadowing STOP: ox00000050 (0xCOFF824C,0X00000001,0X804EB84A,0X00000000)

haha sata floppy, i would buy it and hook up like 8 of them, you know why? cause i can.
