i just started playing through bioshock. i have had it since a little after it came out but i never got more than a half hour into it. anyways, i just got the camera in Neptune's Bounty and have been assigned to take pictures of splicers. no problem there, but my question is do i have to take pictures of them for the rest of the game to unlock upgrades and such? i usually use my electro bolt to stun them while i come in close for a kodak moment but it sort of takes the suspense out of combat. once i have completed the objective is there any reason to continue to take pics of them?

another question is about big daddies. i noticed they won't attack you unless you provoke them, and sometimes they walk around without a little sister. is there any reason to attack one that doesn't have a little sister in tow? those bastards put up quite a fight and usually drain me of my medkits, so i would assume avoid a fight unless it is necessary. does anyone know why there sometimes isn't a little sister with them?
 
Yeah, you can take pictures through the game, it'll unlock new things and give you money, so it's all good!

They walk around without the little sisters once you've saved or harvested the little sister they were protecting... you'll get money and stuff from killing them though, so if you can, it's probably worth it.
 
If my memory serves me right the big daddies without a little sister have doesnt have the same armor as the others, if you look close enough you should see the difference, as to why they're there I don't know. I skipped 'em aswell
 
I don't think you need to attack the ones with out the little sisters I always did though.
And that game gets intresting and alot more fun as it goes on.
The picture thing might get you an achievemnt or something I don't quite remember.
Just a tip a thing or two not saying what depends on if you kill or save the little sisters.

as far as i know, you just get more adam to spend on upgrades

although i do want to know what you get for saving the little sisters, i'm not going to ask. but i will ask this... is it worth doing?

You get better rewards saving them though...certain Tonics you can only get by saving um :)

Also you get more to spend later in the game...but killing them you get twice as much early on but like 120 less by the end of the game.
