biostar, good or bad?

Hey guys.

I know i got a Biostar mobo, and it hasnt given me any problems.

What I want to ask is, how does it stack up against Gigabyte and ASUS boards...

the reason why im asking is causeone of the best layed out (and looking) mobos i have found is a Biostar...

See, i need to use one PCI slot for my network card, and have 2 PCI-E slots for CF/SLI.

The only problem I've had with mine is the 8 pin CPU connector instead of the 4 pin, had to buy a whole new PSU, and they were kinda hard to find.

Gigabyte and Asus motherboards tend to eat Biostar boards for breakfast. They are somewhere between shit and mediocre.

I'm partial to Asus though, so I might be bias

Well, honestly i wouldnt run a dual core with 4 pins ever. i have personally seen a 4-pin cpu power cord melt and short out.

I haven't really seen many of the 8 pin PSUs though, which was my problem.
