Hey all, I have a little problem.... I just put together my new system.

Biostar T-Force Series w/ 6100 integrated video.
AMD X2 3800 (939)
1GB x 512 Corsair XMS Series
Two 320 SATA Seagate Barracuda's
430W Thermaltake PSU
(No video card yet)

My problem is... I get nothing from the integrated video. Zero, zilch, nothing.
It starts up when I press the power button. I can hear & feel the Hard Drives. The CPU fan is on and working. Motherboard lights are on, ect... But I am getting NOTHING on my monitor. Could this just be that the integrated video needs to be setup or something???

I'm gonna try to borrow my friends X800 tomorrow and see if I get anything out of that... But I would like to get the intergrated video working until I get a good video card...

Anyone else have this kind of problem? Any thoughts & opinions are welcome.... Thanks!

Hi JohnRaven.exe;616052-

When I build a system for a client and run into this problem, I first check all my connections... can I hear the computer beep at me when it goes into post????

If so, then the onboard video is bad... if I get no beeps at all once it post... (meaning once I flip the switch on) chances are the board might be dead!

Putting a video card in might help a little, at least you can tell if the adapter is shot!

Since you just bought it from new... you have a warranty... that's the good news.

But, first tell me the important fact, does it beep during post?????

Hey, thanks for the response. Well, I get no beeps.... I tried switching around the little speaker that plugs into the motherboard, but no luck.... Just an idea though, what about unplugging the battery on the motherboard?

I bought the board from Newegg on 1-7-06... So the 30 day return is out... If this board is dead, it would have been DOA. Because I am very careful and wear an anti-static wrist strap for a bit of extra safety...

Thanks for the help!

UPDATE: I got my friend to come over and look at the mobo with me yesterday. First we tried his video card, Nothing... Same problem. But then.... he noticed something on my motherboard... A little 4 pin power hookup to the motherboard. I found the right cable, plugged it in...And...Bingo, thats what the problem was......just a dumb cable that wasnt connected :P

I've never had a motherboard with a power deal like that before.... I was going to do a RAID 0 setup, but we couldn't get that to work. Oh well. At least my mobo is not dead! Yay!

Thanks for your help!

All new motherboards have a 24 pin power connection. Either 24, or 20 connector + 4 connector. That 4-pin connector is for extra power to the CPU.
