You can't... software is created to be either 32 or 64 bit compatible.

Do you mean in terms of an operating system? 32 bit software will run on a 64 bit OS (sometimes there are compatibility issues), but 64 bit will not run on 32 bit. If you're asking how to upgrade one OS to another, it's not possible. You would need to reinstall.
