bit of a problem

Intel

Hello

I have an ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard. I set up my computer a few months ago, but for some reason my USB3 Front Header Ports never worked.

I had a closer look at the issue today. I pulled out my Motherboard's CD, and re-installed the USB3 Drivers (for some reason, there were Intel and ASRock drivers, so I installed both)

When you insert a USB, say, a message appears saying 'Device not recognised'.

One thing, not even an iPhone will charge from these two USB3 ports.

Any ideas?

Cheers

You do need to install both the Intel and ASRock drivers because 2 of the rear ports are run with ASRock drivers and the rest Intel.

- 2 x Rear USB 3.0 ports by Intel® Z77, support USB 1.0/2.0/3.0 up to 5Gb/s
- 2 x Rear USB 3.0 ports by ASMedia ASM1042, support USB 1.0/2.0/3.0 up to 5Gb/s
- 1 x Front USB 3.0 header by Intel® Z77 (supports 2 USB 3.0 ports), supports USB 1.0/2.0/3.0 up to 5Gb/s

Id double check the cables and then check in Device Manager, have you tried re-installing the drivers?
