I have purchased bitcomet a download program basically it manages all your downloads. However when i download anything it is at like 20kb/s, i have a cable internet so i know it should be faster than that. 28 hours is to long to downlaod a gig. Anyone know of a fix?

The reason why the downloads are slow is because it is using a torrent, which relys on other peoples upload speeds, so if there aren't many "seeders" for the torrent you are downloading you will experience a slow download speed, like what you are getting. It is nothing to be worried about and totally normal, I have often got speeds of below that before, if you aren't desperate for the file just leave it running all the time in the background, it will download eventually
 
If you have a router with a built in firewall the ports could be blocked, have a look on peers to see if you have remote aswell as local...

I dont know wether you new that, but thats a well known problem...
 
also bittorrents doesnt always use 100% of your potential downloading speed. It uses P2P so it depends who and how many poeple your downloading something from.
 
Bitcomet is free. There's no need to purchase. Where ever you purchase you might get ripped off.
