BitTorrent?

After installing BitComet, I couldnt connect to websites. It just came up with that annoying refresh message. And then when it would connect the pictures wouldnt show up (those annoying white boxes with a red cross). Anyway I'm running 256kb/s and I find that BitComet was downloading torrents constantly and quickly. Is there anyway around this problem? BTW since uninstalling BitComet my web browser is running fine.
 
I would suggest changing the download and upload speed of the program. Im not sure how that one works, but i use Azureus and you can just go into options and reduce the download capacity, so that you can do other things on the internet.

Torrents are usually quite a slow downloader and use a fair bit of system resources as you have to upload data and download data inorder for the process to work efficiently. I use Azureus as its really easy to configure the speeds and system priority. Plus it is quick a good program, infact the best torrent program i have used.
 
I used Azureus for a while but then reformatted. So ended up using uTorrent. Also the search system in uTorrent is a good benefit. Also I noticed my downloads have been boosted with uTorrent but I guess it all depends on the torrent file itself.
 
uTorrent works best for me too! :) I used Azureus for a while but I found it to be slow and uses more system resources.
