I dont know if this is the right place to put this, but im going insane.

I just got this computer from Velocity Micro.
specs:
Asus® A8N SLI - NVIDIA® nForce™ 4 SLI MCP, PCI Express Motherboard with DDR
AMD® Athlon™ 64 X2 3800+ Processor with Dual Core Technology
256MB eVGA™ NVIDIA® GeForce™ 7800 GT, PCI-Express
Creative Labs SoundBlaster® X-Fi™ XtremeMusic
200GB Western Digital WD2000JD 7200rpm SATA/150, 8MB Cache

Its running games so whack. I first noticed it in a game called pain killer. It ran the game fine for an hour, than it started running it extremely fast, like 2 - 3 times faster than it should run. Than Counterstrike, it did this thing where it skipped every 7 seconds. Than it gradually ran faster and faster, still choppy. Same for Teamfortress classic, and DOD.

When it first started happening i restarted, and it was ok for about 15 minutes, than it started happening again, sometimes restarting wouldnt do anything. So i reformatted, didnt install a thing except for 1 game, played it for an hour, than it started doing it again. Tried installing all the drivers, tweaking everything i could find. Im doing all the same crap that i do on 2 other computers i have access too,(neither of which are as good as this comp is supposed to be) and never had this problem.

sorry it was so long, any help would be appreciated

Do you mean like the game speed itself was going faster?? Like a (bear with me) speed hack kinda thing?? I have painkiller also but I have never encountered that problem. Try downloading the latest drivers for your video card.

Yea, its actually just like that. In online games, its like i speed hack, because i move and shoot faster than everyone else, and i skip. I didnt d/l shit tho, ive never d/led a hack. And i just got this computer 7 days ago.

On non online games, like painkiller, everything moves fast. the bad guyz and me.
