Black bars in full screen.

Hello, I just recently replaced my PSU and added 4 case fans to my pc. Everything is running great. Problem is, when i go to full screen a video in any program, i get these black bars on the top and bottom of my screen. I don't see the bars when the video is not in full screen. Any input is welcome. Thanks.
 
Yeah need more info on what video you are watching and what monitor you have. TFT is prolly right. Wide screen videos on a non w/s monitor...unless this never happened before w/ your old PSU.
 
This never happened with my old PSU, and i am not watching any special kind of video. It happens with ALL videos. I will try and get a screen shot.
 
Are you using the same videos that you viewed before? Swapping out the PSU and case fans wouldn't cause this.
 
Yes i am viewing the same content as before. Sometimes i get the black bars on the top and the bottom of my screen and sometimes they are a pale blue. They aren't there when i don't full screen the video.

You sure it is not widescreen? That is exactly what it looks like, a widescreen video being played on a non-widescreen resolution
 
I am using the same monitor i have always used, this never used to happen before. Using a lcd flat emachines monitor, resolution at 1024 by 768

That isn't a widescreen monitor, that is exactly how it should look if it's a widescreen show or movie (like most are). Maybe you were cropping the video before to take up the whole screen?

I am not sure. How would you do that? I just want to get rid of the blank areas.
 
There is nothing you can do without either cropping, or stretching the video, both of which are bad because it causes you to lose part of the video and/or distorts the video to fit the screen. You are using a 4:3 monitor, it's time you get a widescreen monitor.
