Blank Screen Of Death?

I decided to join the 775 era however when I put everything together I just get a blank screen. I am using one brand of ram and have checked all of my jumpers to no avail. I also tried to different graphics cards (One Ati the other Nvidia). What causes this? The Motherboard is new and shows the green light and all fans work. Is it the CPU?

Need a little more info. What kind of board and video card? Does the video card have a power plug-is it pluged in? Is the boards 4 or 8 pin CPU power connector pluged in? Do you get any beeps when you turn it on?

Intel Chipset is an older one with 800 max FSB

Using an old Mx2440 Nvidia
and ATI Radeon X1650(My current it's 8x AGP)

4 pin is pluged in

No beeps.

BIOS, in my guess i think your BIOs in your motherboard is blank so its only detecting power and it doesnt detect anything else. If is the situation there must be a CD that came with the desktop motherboard.
Well its my OPINION

Sarcasm in title intended.

I put the CD into the drive and I still can not get an image. I tried this as the directions stated.

When you installed the motherboard did you put all the risers in the right places under the board and only under the right holes

Checked for metal touching=none.
reseated cpu for no avail.

I believe the mobo is bad. No beeps and the keyboard does not light up.

Since your getting nothing, no screen, no keyboard light and no beeps I would say its either a bad motherboard or P/S. Since the power Supply is only 280 watts you (will) need a better one I would try that first. Have you tried unpluging the power connector on all your cd drives, harddrive and take all but 1 stick of ram out and see if you can get atleast a bios screen?

Non Responsive program

Hi,
Whenever I try and access a certain web page, it freezes and I have to shut it down from the task manager. I can access all other sites, but this one. I have even been told by the provider that there is nothing wrong with the site. Could this be happening because of a virus?

That was out of nowhere:confused: You might try listing this post in Internet Discussion.

I think the mobo is bad. I disconnected the case fans, disk drives, hard drives, took out all PCI units, and still got no reaction. I am going to contact the person I bought it off.

I've had the same problem three times now, and it definutly is the motherboard that's bad. I've started a thread here raising the issue of how to prevent this from happening.
