block a program from establishing outbound connections?

I have a program that is establishing outbound connections on its own. Is there a way that I can block this on my firewall? I use the same program on 2 computers with different firewall versions - Vista and XP.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is it checking for updates? What program and why do you want to stop it? Are you using Windows firewall or something else?

Yea windows firewall. I have the XP and Vista versions. It is some logitech accessories, but I'd like to know how to block any program for future reference.
