Block Facebook

I want to block facebook for my sister because she spends to much time on it. Any suggestion for a good software.

A few years back I helped friends do the same thing with MySpace.com for there problem young kids, I found all the info on the internet on how to do it.

Using the Host Files was one way, and in their case I used the Router they had. It had a parental control feature built in to block access to web sites.

if you have opera you can go to "settings>preferences>advanced>content>blocked content" and add it in list

If you go to the router page, by typing in your internal ip address, then enter user name and password, you can usually block certain sites. The same method is used for forwarding ports, though that's obviously on a different page.

If you need your internal ip address, go to command prompt and type ipconfig
http://portforward.com/ has plenty of login info for any given router. Just once you get in, ignore everything else on the site and find the section on your router page where you can block sites.
