Blocking spam.

If you find one let me know! Besides simply deleting the spam and blocking senders indeifnitely not clicking on the "unsubcribe from mailing" links help to avoid showing that the account is active. Forwarding spam mail to the ISP's spam reporting service sometimes helps? I wonder about that sometimes!

One program called Spambayes or some name close to that was one program for networks rather then the average desktop however. There are some sites offering tutorials on how to fight spam like the one seen at http://www.spam-site.com/

Another sites reviews the best spam blockers for home use as seen at http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-antispam.htm

The two programs there are the retail versions of Cloudmark Desktop and MailWasher. But in general a simple quick search for spam blockers will see a long list of retail products with free trial periods.

One usual suggestion often given to many is simply setting up a free online account to give out to vendors while keeping the ISP account for personal contacts only. The spam then gets directed to the free online address keeping you main one free of crud!

I did find one online free mail service totally free of spam ads while not offering any help for filtering your normail mail in Outlook Express. The Australian provider offers premium as well as free "totally spam free" accounts while others seem to be spam generators! You can read the general information at http://www.fastmail.fm/pages/fastmail/docs/about.html

i get spam in my office mail but i filter them since i use Outlook.
i have a SAFE SENDERS and SAFE RECIPIENT list, so basically if a domain that's not on that list drops inside my box it gets deleted. thats the way i do it
