Pictured below is my GeForce FX 5500. When I came home tonight, I noticed that my Sony Vaio had shut down, so I restarted it. All that appeared through the boot process were red, blue and striped white and black screens. I was positive that the video card was blown. Sure enough, I pulled out the card and noticed what I think is a blown capacitor. I installed my Radeon 9200 and everything is running fine.
Is that a bad capacitor?
