Blown PSU

So there was a major storm in the area a few nights ago. I turned off my system but I forgot to unplug it from the wall. I turned it on in the morning it booted but after opening up chrome It gave off an audible pop and shut off. Now it seems to have trouble powering on and usually gives me overclocking failed errors when posting. I don't have another PSU to test it with and I don't have enough money for another one ATM.

Is there anything else it could be that I could test that does not include going out and buying more parts?

It seems to work but I don't want to risk having it blow completely and take other components out with it. :(

Stop using it and borrow a power supply if you have to. A bad storm will take out a power supply. Hopefully nothing else went with it.

I will. I probably can't borrow one but I will probably just pick one up and test it when I get my next check. Thanks for the help

For the 560ti, a 600 watt unit will suffice unless you plan on upgrading your gpu later.

The seasonic is cheaper but has more amps but only 2 reviews and one was DOA. The corsair has 84 percent 5 star reviews out of 600.

I will be upgrading the GPU later but not for a while. I might just get a really good 650w and if I need more power later on I'll make another upgrade.

If it matters, a couple other pluses for the HX is rear/bottom/fan down mount puts the cables near the mb instead of near the case panel, and you get the logo graphics right side up, like your TX(and blue like Asus:)). S12II gives cables near panel and specs label.
