Blu Ray Drive problem

I have a Optiarc BD ROM BC-5500S and it can read and play all DVDS and CDS but when I insert a BLURAY disc the drive just doesnt detect the disc and I have tried several different BLURAYS. Does anyone know how I can get this to work.

When you installed the software for this BlueRay DVD drive, did all the needed drivers get installed?

The drive came preinstalled with the laptop so there was no software to install

I am thinking ACER did not load a BlueRay driver for your system. I would call them ask about it, if they don't want to help just find out what brand of BlueRay DVD is installed. Then you can check their Web. site or contact them.
