Hey guys, I've got my computer upgraded and I got it back yesterday. The guy at the store where I got it upgraded ( i got my comp built there too) said it was working fine.

When I got home and started up my computer it opened up fine and I started WoW (world of warcraft). The computer froze and I got this error:

STOP: 0x000000EA

It said something about an infinate loot.

I reset, but now my computer was freezing and getting the BSOD about 30 seconds after I logged in.

I called the guy who upgraded my computer and he said to press F8 when windows is starting up and select last good configuration.

It worked, and my computer didn't crash until today.

I shutdown the computer at night, and today when I started it up and logged in it was working fine, then I was checking something on firefox and I got the same error.

I tried last good configuration but it's not working and windows is freezing 30 sec after i log in like i said.

I tried the windows support thing but it requires me to do something but I can't if windows won't start up :S

Btw my computer has this bug that if you dont log in quickly enough the computer resets so safe mode isnt working :(

help please

PS: if I need windows reinstalled willl I loose my data on disc C and other discs too?

THANKS

You'll only lose data if you reformat the drive; reinstallaation itself ain't going to erase any of your stuff. And even if you reformat, you'll only lose data on C: drive (unless you, for some reason decide to reformat all drives, but that's pretty hard to do by accident).

EDIT:

I've managed to log onto my parent's account (lol) with last good config.

I'm gonna try to fix the prob but dont know what to do

any suggestions?

"SYMPTOMS
You may receive one of the following Stop error messages in Windows XP:
STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER

STOP: 0x100000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER_M

CAUSE
This issue might occur if the graphics adapter is caught in an infinite loop while it waits for the video hardware to become idle. This issue typically indicates a problem with the video hardware or that the graphics adapter cannot program the hardware correctly."

Basically, either your video driver or video hardware has a problem.

Try the latest video driver. If that doesn't work, then your video card may be busted.
