Blue Screen Of Death!!!

Hey, I have recently and frequently been suffereng from the notorious blue screen of death. This occurs usually when i close an application and start another, or if I start an application before most of the Apps on my tray hve finished loading.. The usual error is something along the lines of a "Driver Unloaded without blah blah.... i'm sorry i forgot the rest.

The culprit is usually a file 'dump_wmimmc.sys' and a large string of numbers is shown alongside a large paragraph of horrid windows advice on reasons as to why.

I am thinking its the memory, which is 256mb of RdRam.

My comp specs are:
Win XP pro
Cpu: Intel P4 2.0Ghz
Mobo: AOpen AX4T 2
Bios: Award Modular v6.00
VC: Nvidia MX440 128
2 HD's: a 40GB, and a 120GB

On a side note, the 40GB HD wont Format when i try from "my Computer" (right click format). How can i do this (only format my Slave HD)?

I put this topic here b/c i didnt kno where else.... pls move it to where apporpriate if you really want to.

Thanx guys.

Thing is Rambus is damn expensive and must have pairs... 256mb must be bought in the same 128mb stick types. which combined cost more than a gig of DDr Pc3200 ram.

anyone know how i may update the bios...?

"Driver Unloaded Without Cancelling Pending Operations"

The error report said that the Vdeo card driver was at fault... I have an Mx440 but Nvidia doesnt have any individual drivers.... i bought the V/C second hand and dont know whether or not it was made by a partner of Nvidia, thereby making the Nvidia drivers screwy.... Everest Home edition is no help... and im lost.. help
