when i got the computer (vista 64 bit) i installed my schools required symantec anti virus... after that when i log onto my computer windows will load up and start normally and run for a while then all of a sudden it would blue screen and restart. after the restart i log back into the account and everything is black and i can see the cursor and nothing will load. lately (mainly today) i started it up and it blue screens almost immediately after everything loads.
i googled why this was happening and some said that symantec and windows causes a crash and to go into the system through safe mode where the error doesnt affect the system and uninstall symantic... well it wont uninstall cause it says the un/install program is not found.
is symantec the problem? what else can i do? i cant stay in my account long enough to do much... and i dont want to lose my data on the hard drive and i want to be able to use the machine!
