Blue Screen Question

hi guy's and girls, just wanted to ask what would be the main reasons for getting blue screens on the computer?

recently installed hardware which is faulty can result in the blue screen or maybe even hardware which is not faulty, (not too sure on that one though)

A bad install of software can lead to cross links to protected system files. Damaged or what they cal orphaned drivers can be a cause when they conflict with programs and Windows alike causing lockups and crashes. On XP the crash control is inactive or fails to restart the system when program crashes resulting in the BSOD(blue screen of death).
