Blue shading in movies

Hey ever since I put in my new MSI 7600 GS...everytime I play a file in VLC...theres a blue filter ..sorto like blue shading or lighting on the screen....i googled the problem and it said ill have to change my resolution..it works..all i have to do is change my resolution and chang eit back..it takes 30 seconds...but it does it everytime i open a file so it gets annoying changing ur resolution for everytime u wana watch something...so is there a permanent solution to this...or any info on what causes this?
 
What resolution was it at? What resolution did you have to/did change it to?

Additionally, do you know what the resolution supported by your monitor/video card is?
 
it was at 1024x768 res..thats the highest my monitor will support...i could change it to anything else..like 800x600 or 960x600 and change it back to 1024x768 and it wud work..and i donno what my video cards max resolution is..its an msi 7600 gs
 
So let's say you were on 1024x768.. You would have to switch it to a lower resolution and then switch it back again to 1024x768 to vew it, right?

It seems like it can be some part with the video card. Since you said it's new, maybe you can try taking it back for an exchange.
