Bluetooth Keyboard

As some of you may know, im getting my new Dell Axim X30 PPC on Monday, and i would really like a keyboard for it. My PPC has bluetooth, and i was wondering if it's possible to use a desktop bluetooth keyboard, since pocket ones are more expensive and harder to type with. Any one have experience or suggestions on this?

Did you look up compatibility on desktop bluetooth keyboards? Call the company and ask, or e-mail them about it.

I would think u could.I havea bluetooth keyboard that i was using(trying to sell now)that worked fine with the adaptor.Bluetooth is bluetooth i can connect anything to it so it should go both ways. But if ur wondering i have the logitech mx5000 set up.Works great so look into one of them.

I dont trust tech support ;)

I was thinking of bring my PDA to Best Buy or a similar place, and seeing if their keyboards get picked up by my PDA.

I have a Palm LifeDrive and it does not recognize my MX5000 bluetooth keyboard I use for my desktop set-up. Im pretty sure the only way you can use a bluetooth keyboard with a pda is if its specifically a UNIVERSAL bluetooth keyboard....so in the end youll have to get the expensive one. I use the Palm Wireless IRDA keyboard with my PDA and it works very well.

I found a few IRDA ones on ebay for around $30, but i would prefer bluetooth so i dont have to be right in front of the sensor to use it, i'll probably end up just bringing it to best buy and seeing if they can test out the bluetooth keyboards.

So your saying when your typing you wont be infront of your PDA? This is how I use my PDA and keyboard together...and I cant see any other way of using it.

I've seen those before, but whats the difference between getting one of those and a wired one? Since both are physically attached to the PDA. I would prefer a bluetooth keyboard where i can keep it a few inches away, or have it at a different angle.

well, it saves of the trouble of having to plug it in, with the IRDA keyboard you just put the PDA on the holder and it connect automatically, you can even stand it vertically and it will still work.
