Bluetooth security

Hey guys, I have this project and I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on bluetooth. I have some general knowledge of it, but I've never "REALLY" used it that much.

The idea of the project is how secure (or insecure) bluetooth actually is. From what I can find so far, there's very little security options for bluetooth. Everything I've found either uses a rather simple password or nothing at all. I'm not even sure if the data's encrypted...

Eh, obviously I need to do some more research on the topic. We have a few devices to play with, but nothing's been done yet. We probably will tomorrow when we get together as a group...

yeah. the encripting is very week if any, and yes it mostaly requires a password, for a head set, it is already programed like 0000 very easy. but you dont really need it to be secure there is not a lot you can do with it. maybe a key loger but you would have to be close enough.
