Bluetooth vs. normal ?????

Here ill make a list:

Bluetooth Keyboard (For PDA)////////////// Wireless Keyboard (for PDA)
-extended range /////////////// -very short range
-signal waves spread out ////////////// - signal waves in one direction
-expensive ///////////// -cheaper

Bluetooth Keyboard (Desktop)//////////////// Wireless Keyboard (Desktop)
-extended range //////////////// - good range but not as good a BT
- Extra features //////////////// - Basic keyboard functions
-Assigned an address (Stronger signal)///////////// - Runs off 2.4ghz radio signal
- No other wirless can interupt ///////////// - Other wireless objects can interupt.

i always thought that bluetooth had a shorter range than any other type of wireless.

this is just theoretical, but if routers were bluetooth, would the range on them be longer than say 802.11g?

They have some bluetooth gateways but ive never seen a bluetooth object that can transport info over 100 feet (30 meters). Bluetooth emits short and power waves that deliver information very quickly (therefore elimination of wires with a small loss(in terms of performance)

I have a regular wireless jkeybored and it has lots of extra fetures, wether its bluetooth or regular has nothing to do with fretuaes.

also there are ones that run on 800mhz and 27mhz frecency's, and possibily more(just the tw i know about)

Have you ever seen a wireless keyboard(non bluetooth) with a LCD Display or somthing that requires the keyboard to show several pieces of information?

Yeah, Bluetooth is more powerful at shorter distances, but falls off a lot quicker than 802.11. Same principle as the 5.8GHz and 2.4GHz cordless phone argument.

Also- bluetooth is not refined and kinda sucks sometimes... I have a PDA keyboard that really sucks sometimes, but others it works like (i swear) a quarter mile away. Ok, im joking, but they really fluctuate.
