blurry internet pictures

I have a new acer aspire computer (with windows vista) hooked up to an older CTX color monitor. I can watch dvd's and play video games and the picture is clear. But when I get on any internet site the pictures are always blurry (the text is always clear). I have adjusted the monitor settings without any success. Can anyone tell me what could be causing this?

Maybe it is the current view you have for the browser, make sure its at 100%; so the pictures are clear.
Also you could maybe try downloading another browser and see if the picture does become clearer.
