Hi,

My boot file is messed up because i deleted the partion on my hard drive with Vista on it as i didnt want Vista anymore.

But even though vista wont work anymore as ive deleted its partion it is still asking me which Os i want to use at boot as i Dual booted Vista-Xp.

How can i get rid of the Os selection and just boot into xp?
What do i need to remove in this.....

I have merged my partions back together using Norton Partion magic so thats all good now as i had 1 30Gb partion for Vista and the rest for Xp but as i said thats fine now.

Any help appreciated.;)

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /usepmtimer

There's what mine says. I'm pretty sure you can just remove the boot.ini and it'll recreate a basic one...but I've not rested that recently :o

Okay so do i just delete all the text in that boot.ini file and it will re-create one for xp again?

I dont realy feel like reinstaling windows again:D
