boot problems again

This time its on a different computer, and i have a different problem. When you press power it either does one of two things.

1) monitor gets no signal

2) locks up somewhere between powering and booting to windows.

I dont think its ram, bc i dont get beeps when theres no signal to the monitor.. I dont think it could be an improperly seated graphics card either, seeing how intermittently its working. the only thing i though of, is would it lock up if the cpu overheated during boot up?

haha. im not entirely sure. pretty much a bunch of parts i fould laying around. geforce fx x1500, some dell mobo, some dell cpu @2.6gHz, 3 x 512 mB ddr3200 ram. thats all i know, which isnt alot.

Ignore him. That was spam.

Firstly you should go for reinstallation of the new window in your computer.if it is not solved then you will go for expert.

And we are here because...

1. If you can't even get to startup yet, how the heck would you manage to even get into an boot setup?

Now, back on topic:

Try using onboard video. No signal usually means that. How did you test your memory?

Just to let you guys know, it was resolved. I've been having all kinds of wierd problems with this graphics card. i reseated it in the same slot and now the whole computer works. Jw, why would this happen?

I tested the ram by putting each individual stick in alone in every slot one at a time. Is that a good way?
