ok i did some wire management om my pc and when i put it all back together and booted it up i got slapped with a msg that said something about reboot and select proper boot device or something along those lines. i have went into the bios and checked if the hard drive has been detected and it has.i have checked all plugs and all are connected properly. and i have made sure the hard drive was the 1st in the boot up menu thing.i only have 1 drive and 2 cd roms i have tryied unplugging cd roms no luck . i not have any money to take it to a computer store. THANKS for any help.

Unplug every drive, plug in the hard drive, and try it like that, see what happens. If it works, then plug in one cd rom drive, if it still works, do it again. And make sure that the hard drive is set to "master" and both "cd-roms" set to "slave".

try plugging one hdd then check if show in the bios, then set it as the primary boot in you bios selection. try it until you find the right HDD having your OS.

good luck

OK! then its really bad...

Just beside me I am doing chkdsk /r on my friend's PC... You may need to try too...

to get your windows installer and boot your PC from it... then go to recovery console and issue command chkdsk /r

if you need help on recovery console, google it and you'll never miss it. :)

good luck!

You need to provide more info. Ide or Sata drives? Any chance the cables are reversed? Can you hook up the drive externall to a working computer?
