Hey ya guys,
I have a problem. I bought brand new computer, wired all together, according to the manual, .. and now I have problem with booting up.
My configuration.. I wired together the mainboard, processor (AMD 4x2.7 MHz), 2x4GB ram, the graphic sound card, and the network adapter are embedded. And I got some sata hard disks. One of them contains previously installed Windows XP, ... I got a USB stick with new Ubuntu 12.04..
Now.. what happens. I try to boot from hard drive. The windows "menu" appears asking me about Normal mode, safe mode, .. booting from network maybe.. whatever I choose, it restarts the machine and the same menu appears. It does not boot up. When I insert the Ubuntu USB stick, it behaves the same way. Ubuntu menu appears, asking me about running from the disk, or installing ubuntu on hard drive etc. Whatever I choose, reboot follows, and the menu appears again. I only tried the memtest from the USB, it checked my RAM and it seems they work properly.
Any ideas what may solve the boot up problem? Maybe some wrong wiring? no idea.
