Hi all,
I have cloned my (sata) hard drive to an external ata drive contained in an external enclosure connected to a USB port. After cloning, I tried booting the clone while still in the enclosure*but it would not, so I tried booting it into safe mode. This worked well. Can anyone suggest a way that I might be able to boot the ata clone from the enclosure without having to resort to Safe Mode? I'm hoping to use the clone as my backup, but would feel more comfortable if it boots in normal mode

* which is the only place I can boot it from since there are no ata connection in the computer
