bootmgr problem

Just got my computer together installed win7 got 1/2 way thru and failed ran again samething but when I restarted it says missing bootmgr. I changed hdd but still says it and when I put the win7 in it never gives an option to run anything. Suggestion.....?

I remember that happened to me and to be honest i dont now how i fixed it but i can tell you what i did , I got an old xp disk and instaled xp first then i put the win 7 disk back in and it worked fine

since then ive seen lots of programs to fix boot manager but you need to download hirens boot cd and make a boot disk , the disk boots up your pc from your dvd rom drive and you can fix the boot mgr on you hdd

Run your Windows-made System Recovery CD and choose "fix startup" or similar.
Or run dban and start over.
