Bottlenecked Like Crazy But Still Ok?

I have my graphics card coming in today, and i just wanted to make sure it will work in my old computer for a bit while the money for the new parts comes in (damn paypal). I know the PCI-E 2.0 is backtrack compatible, and with this old system, i know it will be bottlenecked like crazy, but i just wanted to make sure i wasn't going to short anything out putting it into my system. It is the Sapphire ATI Radeon 4850.

Here's the setup: AMD Sempron 1.8Ghz (yeah, i know), ASUS NAOS-GL with one PCI-E slot, already installed the new PSU, so i know that will work, and the RAM that is compatible with that board.

Thanks.

Yeah, i know that, but i want to make sure the card works, just in case it's a DOA and i have to send it back. Don't want to rely on the parts for my new computer to get in before the 30 days are up, and run the risk of wasting $150.

Yeah, if you have a PCI-e slot and your PSU is up to it, it'll work fine.
That CPU will bottleneck a fair bit like you said.

Don't worry about the slot being PCI-e 1.0 either, there's not much of a difference.
