Bottlenecking

People who have seen this post will see that I have really changed my planned rig. I am now going for a gaming based system.

Will there be any bottlenecking in this rig?

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00GHz 6M 1333MHz 45nm CPU Retail Box
Asus P5K SE Intel P35 LGA775 ATX 1333FSB ICH9
G.SKILL 4GB kit (2GB x 2) DDR2-800 (PC-6400) CL5-5-5-15 MEMORY
XFX Geforce 8800GTX 768MB EXTREME EDITION GDDR3 PCI-EXPRESS 16x
Silverstone Olympia OP750 750W ATX12V Power Supply

In a bit worried about the MoBo as it is quite cheap compared to the rest.

Please don't try and change much unless its really needed.

NVM, just changed to another mobo that I know will work

Looks fine to me ...the only things I would change are the RAM (Change to this) and the Video Card to this.

That mobo would have been fine Asus make very good products.

What about the fact that the CPU is 45nm architecture
Will the mobo support that?

Because the 8800GT is almost as good (and actually better with a little O/C) and is a lot cheaper.

I agree. The 8800GT or 8800GTS 512MB aren't that far below the 8800GTS in terms of performance, however they are significantly cheaper.

The 512MB version is at the tail as the GTX... Not the 256MB version...

I'd also recommend OCing it. It could easily beat the GTX with a few more MHz.
