Bought a new hard drive

Hello! I'm new, just signed up. Please be nice! =D

Right, so I've just bought a new hard drive. I am thinking of formatting reinstalling windows, after transferring all my documents etc onto the new hard drive.
What I really want to know is how to transfer the stuff over. What in particular I am wanting to keep is emails etc.
So can anyone point me to a good guide or something like that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this has been covered before.

Do you know how to install a second hard drive? If so, it would be as simple as installing it, formating it, and then it would show up under My Computer, and you could just drag and drop what you needed.

I'm using Microsoft Outlook Express.

Also, is it possible to keep programs?

No not if you did a full wipe and reinstall, just make sure you have any install disks.

An option to consider.

If your current drive is fine and there are no viruses or spyware and you would like to clone the drive. I would seriously consider downloading a trial copy of True Image and clone your drive:

download the guide and read a little about the program, specifically cloning.
