I just bought a XFX Geforce GT PCI-E, but I had some friends that it´s not a good brand at all...so I want to know which one is good, so I want to change and next time I don´t screw up! These are other brands...which ones are good, and which ones are the best? Thanks!

Chaintec
eVGA
ASUS
Leadtek
MSI
Gigabyte

usually chaintech and sapphire make cheaper products. i believe they have less settings you can mess with to oc them.

Lol

In most cases, you do not really come across brands that are very bad at all. In fact when you comapare the cards, most of them obide by reference to the original design proposed by Nvidia or Ati. The main differences usually occur in the following:

1. Type of memory used DDR, DDR3... different speeds
2. Cooler and heastsink - some cards have poor cooling
3. Applied heatsinks on memory etc.

HOWEVER - there are no drastic differences. I would basically go for the best deal after reading some reviews. XFX is not generally a bad manufacturer anyway. Tell your friend that he is wrong. Also tell him that problems are usually product related and do not apply to whole product ranges.

I have a chaintech 6600GT and there are just as many overclocking options and such as on any other companies product. The main difference is the sticker they put on the cooler. Some companies will put a new cooler on, others will deliver pre-overclocked cards.

Sometimes but not normally. The 'minimum' acceptable memory type is usually used and rarely will a company put DDR3 on a card that only requires DDR (based on the reference design). Typically RAM differences card to card will be in the clock rating (ie. 1.6ns vs 2.0ns)

Haha...that's what I had in mind. In terms of overclocking the card, the options are usually identical and the only difference is in the capabilities of the given card's components.
