Bridging

Ok hey guys i was trying the other day to bridge a lan and wireless lan through my laptop so i could use internet on my x box 360, this is how it was set up.

Internet>>>Switch>>>>computers & wireless router>>>>>>> My laptop Wireless>>>>> ( supposed bridge)>>>> Laptop Lan port>>>>>Xbox 360.

So i went to my network connections on my laptop highlighted the wireless and Lan and went right click and bridge connections. It seemed to work fine, and it created the bridge. then i went to the windows wireless zero configuration to make sure that i was still connected to the internet, and it had my network SSID but it said " Not Connected" so i deleted the bridge and it connected again. so to make sure it wasnt a one off time i created the bridge again and sure enough " Not Connected". So does anyone know how to bridge a lan and wireless through my laptop while still connecting to the wireless network.

cheers Conor

Internet >>> Router wireless >>> switch with computers, laptop and xbox.

The way you have it setup makes no sence.

no because we have computers connected to the Lan as well, so internet>>>to a switch, which divides the lan, one of the ports go to a wireless router(sorry more like access point), then that connects to other computers etc
