BroadBand Connection Not Connecting On Startup?

Hi, I am on my dads vista, I told him I could fix up his computer from all the crap that's on it and fix some stuff. I have had no problems until I came to a problem he told me about. It is not serious just really annoying :P He wants his broadband connection to automatically connect on start up. He always has to connect it himself! He really hates it  I have looked up solutions and everything, Nothing Works! My only solution is here. Anyone got any ideas?

Do you mean he has to enable the connection in View Network Connections? Or what do you mean by he has to connect it everytime.

Yes, I think. Okay for example: He has to go to start, Connect To, Then Click connect! So yes he has to "enable the connection in View Network Connections"

What kind of computer is it? Is this a wired or wireless connection that he has to connect to? I have a few ideas but it would be best to point you in the right direction if you could provide me that information. And excuse my jargon, I'm still on WinXP so I'm not too familiar with the Vista setup. Also, the name of the Network Adapter would be helpful as well.
