A few questions about a broken iPod

1. Why do so many people bid for them on Ebay
2. I have a broken 20 gig 4th generation and the iPod will not boot up. It begins to charge then the apple sign followed by a sad face.

I could probably sell it on Ebay for at least $20

but seriously why do people buy broken ipods... Can they fix them somehow?
Even broken ones with cracked screens are getting bids.

well the trouble is my little bro bought it off a friend's brother and when my little bro told his friend that the ipod stopped working the friend's brother said it's all my little bros fault. Annnnddd this was about a year ago.

well say you bought an ipod and you got insurance on it? you then buy the same ipod and take it back to where you got it from. lets take PC world as an example.

so you take the ipod you bought on ebay back. you get a new one. you seel that on ebay whislt still having your original one! you can get insurance for instant replacement. thats all it is and you can make money! easy as that!

:-)

Think of it like that!

If you want to try to fix it, here's a method.

Take the ipod, and bang it on your desk. I'm dead serious. I was skeptical at first too, but it recovered my ipod from the "sad" ipod to working perfectly.

In case you don't believe me, this is the "guide" I followed:

yep if it is under warranty and if you're lucky they'll reimburse you on the shipping cost too
there are no shipping cost, they UPS you the box for you to pack the ipod in and to UPS it back (and the UPS back is prepaid) :)
