I broke the LCD screen on my Dell Inspiron 1500 and was wondering if there was any way to remove it and keep the computer functional as a keyboard and "tower" through my desktop monitor.
\Totally... any decent laptop made with in the last few years should have a video output port. But you can also buy a replacement LCD off of ebay if you think you would be up for the repair. Depending on the model, they run from $50 to $150.
I was just wondering if there was anyway to remove the lid of the laptop? I'm afraid that just ripping it off would have negative consequences.
Just set the monitor right on top of the broken display.![]()
Jk...I don't really see why you wouldn't be able to remove it, as long
as you do it patiently and correctly.
It depends on the laptop.... some laptops won't even power on if the monitor is removed.
