Hi,
OK, I do a lot of basic tech assistance at work, and recently changed one of my coworkers over from Netscape 7 mail (POP account) to Entourage (IMAP). I was going to encourage her to use Safari instead of the Netscape browser, but I didn;'t want to go through the hassle of importing her bookmarks (it would require downloading a piece of software, which would require authorization from the company's helpdesk, which would open up a bureaucratic can of worms that I did not want to get into). So, I told her to stay on the Netscape browser (but not to use the Netscape POP account as that would cause some minor havoc). Everything is fine until she clicks on a link in one of her emails (in Entourage) and it opens up the site in Safari. And further, when she clicks on an email address in Safari it uses "Mail" (does anyone even use that?) as the default mail client. And on the other side of the coin, I'm assuming that when she is in the Netscape browser and clicks on an email address it will use Netcape mail as the default mail client to compose the message. The problem here is that the user does not feel very comfortable with a computer, so I really have to set it up to go from point A to B to C...you get the idea. Any ideas on how to proceed?
