Browser Modifier Changed Settings, How do I change them back?

Unfortunatly I went to a site that installed a stupid browser modifer and totally changed my internet explorer settings. I got the stupid virus uninstalled, however, I really really dont feel like reformatting my computer for this.

It got rid of all my tabs for internet explorer 7. I tried to change the internet explorer settings to change them back, but it really screwed it up. I then tried to uninstall internet explorer 7 and reinstall it and it was still screwed up.

Is there a fix for this other than reformatting?

You can try restoring your pc to a date prior to the changes being made. This should undo it all.

Keep in mind that by doing this any added programs and all updates done during this period will be lost and will need to be done again.

Click > Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. Click the "Restore My Computer to an earlier time" button then select a date earlier than the made changes and click next.

System restore can be finicky at times but I have used it to repair problems in the past.
