ok, i was curious if i could download a browser onto my ipod, and plug my ipod into a computer with the internet, and boot a browser off of my ipod. this way no one can track my internet history, because the history would be on my ipod... will this work? or will it still save the history onto the computers hdd?

its true that your browser is on an external hard disk but for it to work you must instal it first on the computer you want to use it on to create the dependencies...lets say the drive is E: you will install lets say firefox on E: but htere would be dependencies created on C:... you can always be tracked and it would be clear what you did and which sites you visited especially if you get infected with spyware ..

i cant claim to completely understand what youve written as it is a bit confusing but here goes

its true that your browser is on an external hard disk
no
to create the dependencies
no. never heard of these in the context you are describing

you will install lets say firefox on E: but htere would be dependencies created on C:
again, this is a not what happens.

you can always be tracked and it would be clear what you did and which sites you visited especially if you get infected with spyware
again no, your history is stored locally and if you clear it it will be gone forever, providing you remove it along with all cookies etc..
