Browser problem

I have a browser problem on my other hd, and all of the internet works perfect. But the browser wont work, ive trace routed to 3 different websites and they all worked on command prompt. I can also download stuff from limewire. Ive tried different browsers but they all didnt work. One thing i noticed though was that once the patches downloaded for firefox it didnt work, then the same thing happend when downloading and installing the newest Internet Explorer. If anyone has a clue of what it might be please let me know.

Do you have a firewall running. If you do it could be blocking port 80 which is the port to contact a Web Server. You may also want to stop by the security section and read the http://www.computerforum.com/64161-essential-read.html.
You may also want to try posting a HJT Log http://www.computerforum.com/24672-hijackthis-logs.html.

I turned off all the firewalls and restarted my cable modem, and computer. Im getting internet perfectly for limewire and im still able to trace websites through command prompt, but my browser and blizzard uploader still wont work. I checked all of the internet options, and found nothing wrong. I would just stick with this hd if the windows i got came with sound. Thanks for the help though.

Now which browser are you using? If it is firefox, try starting it in safe mode and see what happens. If that doesn't work, make a new profile for yourself and delete the old one which may be corrupted.

If you're using IE or something else...download firefox. lol. Post back so we can try to help.

Try reinstalling the browser, this will reset all the browser settings.
